Toke came to town for 24 hours to attend a couple of meetings and hang out with Ben

Today Ben and I headed over to the California Academy of Sciences to make use of our membership. He mostly likes to play in the "tot spot" where he can roam around safely with all the other little ones.

Last week I had some meetings in Portland on Friday, so the whole family came up with me on Thursday so that we could visit my aunts Ellie and Valerie who live there. Ben did pretty well with the air travel still, though he is beginning to get a little restless being held on our laps the entire time. We had a nice and relaxing trip, though Dara and Ben both came down with the nasty cold that has been going around, so most of the weekend was spent in the house resting and recovering.
Here's a fun clip of Ben giggling that I found on my Evernote http://www.evernote.com
And here's a fun art piece that we saw in the Oakland airport

The weekend before last we went to Carmel to stay at Dara's family friend's cottage in the village. Our friends Erik and Alyssa and their daughter Phoebe came down to visit as well. Both Dara and Alyssa were pregnant the last time we were all there in the Spring of '08, so this was the follow up with the offspring.
On Saturday we walked down to Carmel Beach and while we were there, Hayden Panitierre pulled up and checked the beach. When we turned around to see her standing 15 feet or so behind us, Ben gave her his typical flirtatious smile, but I don't know if she quite took his bait.

Tonight we tried out Ben's new duck tub for the first time. He has now officially graduated from the sink tub and we thought that this was a monumental occasion worth not only documenting, but sharing.
